I know this sounds crazy, but this is no scam. I've made some bad decisions in my life and now I'm paying for them. If you'd like to help me, I would really appreciate it. If not, that's cool too. I realize that nobody has a responsibility or mandate to help me out, but if you have just a dollar or two to spare, or help me with
a new desk toy business, it could help make a difference.
When I was 16 I moved out of my parents' home in Arizona to attend school in Michigan. I lived with an aunt for a couple of months, and then moved into my first apartment at the ripe old age of 17. Despite the two jobs I had to work to cover my expenses, I graduated (a semester early) with a 3.7 GPA. Unfortunately, that wasn't good enough to get me the scholarship dollars I needed to attend a 4 year college, so I began my post-secondary schooling at Lansing Community College.
I don't qualify for any sort of need-based aid because I am under 21 and still have to claim my parents' income on my FAFSA (Free Aplication for Student Aid) even though my parents give me no monetary support whatsoever. I cannot get a loan from a respectable private institution without a co-signer, and I know nobody who will fill that role. Neither of my parents were college educated and believe that it is just a waste of time and money.
Next fall, I want to attend Northern Michigan University's pre-medical program. However, due to the expenses that I incur every month, it is a dream that is fading rapidly away. I cannot save enough money for school and I can't get the aid I need to attend. I have gone as far as I can at LCC and I'm running out of options. If you can find it in your heart (and in your wallet!) to help me out, the impact you will have on my life is significant.
I understand that I am asking for free money (begging really!) and, honestly, that saddens me. This, however, is my last resort, and I am desperate to complete college and become a doctor. Please help me out!
